I also have an Echo Mia Midi and that card is so rock solid. I'm also hesitant to go USB after such a good experience, but I do wonder if upgrading would bring some sort of clarity improvement.

Let us know how it works out.

In my world, reliability trumps sound quality, every single time. PCI has the best reliability over the long haul, hands down. Sad that most of us can't take advantage of this technology any longer. Sounds like that RME find could be a winner!
