My first thought was that Cip wasn't recording this in a hotel room next to the elevator, across from the ice machine, and directly below a family of five with an over-tired toddler. Because they always save that room for me.
I've had pretty good results recording with a shotgun strapped to the steering wheel of my BMW (with a pillow on the dashboard). This is the mic I always travel with, but my shockmount alarms the TSA (afraid of spiders?) and it likes Bob Souer's voice better than it does mine anyway (but who doesn't?) The Bimmer while compact, will not fit in the overhead bin.
In other words, I'm going to order one. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

This also connects to a Mac via a USB adapter (3 ft cable included, 9 ft cable to come) and will eventually offer a standard mic stand adapter.. nice |

Actually, Sweetwater hooked me up with a gizmo that makes it possible to attach the MiC to any mic stand.
The Roland R09MSA mic stand adapter. It won't be here until the end of the month, but I'll let you know what I think when it arrives! _________________ Threadjackers local 420
