But it's more....it has 4 xlr jacks and a mute button!
But you're right, it is overpriced IMO.
I got it as a fast solution to a problem I was having with my preamp output being too hot for the input of my compressor. The preamp (GML) doesn't have an output control and was too much for the Purple unit I was using. I didn't want to put any unneeded electronics in between just to get the output lowered. You know, the weakest link thing. _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

In researching the ATTY, I found the SM Pro Audio M-Patch 2.
I like the extra feature of a built-in headphone amp.
Unless you have a well designed and quiet space where you do your editing, you won't be able edit soft elements like breaths because you can't hear them. Headphones can be crucial...
Some rely on the waveform display, but for me I trust my ears. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Just found this one while gear-slutting around the 'net looking for something else.
The JBL MSC1, like a Big Knob with a brain that detects and compensates for room modes.
If you aren't mixing or producing, it's overkill, but still a very nice and cost effective option. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
