corey - that's what i've been thinking. there's bound to be a way - if not it's a matter of scanning posts, retrieving & archiving posts & the awesome diagrams mike made then categorizing and organizing.

easy, huh?

Just a small caveat on the book... Mike sometimes quoted from outside sources to illustrate his points, and due to the informal nature of our board didn't always give a citation to its origin which I'm sure is not a big deal. I'm not a lawyer (yeah, but I've played one in commercials), but if you keep this book project fairly informal, lack of attribution may not be a problem. But if you go big time with this you'll want to research the parts of his material that aren't clearly his opinion or directions, and cite sources for the shorter quotes and seek permission for the longer ones.

Trying to keep us safe.

Very sad news. He added so much to this board and was very generous. Prayers to his family in this difficult time.

i hear ya bruce!

i spent some time going through posts today. i created a spreadsheet in google docs

Mike Sommers Stuff

that is wide open for others to add to.

i scanned pages 1 - 10 of his posts on vo-bb

Mike's VO-BB posts

i have some corresponding pics on my desktop - not sure why they didn't transfer to the google doc????

and added the posts from his blog.

why don't we do this - if you want to take a page - or range of pages - let us know here & update the file name with the page number(s) you added.

just copy & paste everything in the post if you feel the post is relevant and we can edit later.

column 1 of the spreadsheet is the broad category of the entry.

this is a WIDE approach - we can cull/organize later.

what do you think?

It sounds like a very smart approach to a big job.

Let me consult my tech monster to see if there's a way to grab just Mike's posts.
