I'll help out also. We should figure out where any profits (hah) will go- to his family, a charity, etc.

I love the idea, though. A fitting tribute, assuming we can make it work.

I am happy to act as a technical consultant to fill in gaps or tie things together, OR just dumb things down here n there Smile

We need an archive of all his posts, then need to sort them into general topic areas. I think the board lets you do that.

I envision a sort of "golden nuggets" archive. Each section/chapter dealing with a specific topic: tube mics, preamps, acoustic treatment, etc. Each would have an introduction and explanatory text between segments of his posts.

Thoughts?

Now, not all of those will be relevant...well...maybe they will be!

I think your chapter/golden nugget idea is a great way to start!

Also, we may have to get permission from people who he gave advice to, to use their info...or maybe just use initials or "anonymous"

And George...yeah....turning some of what he said in to "non-techy" terms would be a HUGE help...although we should keep his original posts intact for those that DO understand them!

I also followed Mike's comments on that "other" "audio" board, and though it wasn't always about VO, he shared a great deal of useful info on studio acoustics, audio chains, mics, pre's and a host of other valuable subjects.... and he wasn't any less blunt there, either.... Wink

It's worth scanning, and worth including some of the gems of wisdom offered there.
