|
|
I was trying to find out why the creation date for files created on my Zoom H4n Pro is always December 31, 1969 when I found on the Zoom website a firmware update. So I downloaded it. But nowhere in the manual or the website can I find instructions on HOW to install the firmware update.
So, two questions for owners of Zoom Handy Recorders:
1. How do I install the firmware update (via a Mac)?
2. How do I correct file creation dates?
Thanks. _________________ Mike

Hi Mike - I have a Zoom H5 and it does the exact. same. thing.
I don't use it much and that said, I've learned to live with it. Usually I'll just transfer the file to Audition and listen to see if it's the one I just recorded. At the same time, it affords me the opportunity to delete files I no longer need, so I won't get confused next time around. _________________ "What was that? An exhibition? Thanks, Bruce.
I should clarify for any others that the system date and time in my Zoom recorder are set correctly but, for whatever reason, newly created files don't reflect that correct settings.
As for the firmware update, Zoom's mistake was referring to it on the website as "firmware" but not having the word "firmware" appear anywhere in the user manual. There, it is referred to as a system software update, or "Version Up." _________________ Mike
