Gigs on the Go

An interesting idea-- if you live in LA.

Neat idea. But I have one I like even better. A mobile ISDN studio with a satellite uplink in a small Winnebago that can travel to the talent, rather than making the talent travel to them.

Looking for investors. You can dump all your extra pocket change into my PayPal account.

Seriously, that's pretty cool. Thanks for the link.

Aw, rats-- you were kidding about the Winnebago?

The only part that I was serious about was soliciting money from the other members to funnel into my PayPal account.

Something like this Truck perhaps?

I want something like that when vacation time comes around. I'm sure it doesn't cost too much to set up. Rolls Eyes yeah, right.

A friend of mine has a 2005 Gulfstream RV he gutted and turned into a studio. He hits the road and doesn't miss a beat. Does all his stuff out of it.

I would love to do that on a small boat. Nothing fancy, a 35 to 45 foot sloop would do fine. Imagine, sailing the Carribean...doing VO.... It would be the perfect life. Assuming you could get your equipment to be happy around all that salt water.

Why not? It only took a few years of planning and a lot of luck Wink.

I just came across you guys by doing my monthly check on web stats etc, and saw this link over the past few days...thanks, Hart, for the link Smile.

Very interesting forum...I'll be lurking around for the next little while just catching up on your discussions!

Cheers!

Cool click.

I was keeping up with your build over at John Sayers site. When this thread started it reminded me of you. I really love your truck.

*awww shucks* Laugh

Thanks, for the kudos...we put a lot of time and effort into designing and building the beast so its as functional as possible.

What is interesting is the amount of flexibility has brought us jobs we never would have imagined...we have done vocals in the truck, as well as solo trumpet. I never really planned for it to be a recording room per se, but, hell, may as well Smile.

Now we need to just keep the truck busier!!!

Cheers
