Just a crude "before" and "after" shot of the mic, Deirdre. The original look of the mic is what's on the monitor.

I asked Dave Pearlman why he went with the matte black finish after originally producing his mics in a nice silver finish. "Lost a bet with Peluso", was his reply. I didn't want to get stuck with a mic that looked the way it did based on a coin toss. I realize that a lot of people dig the matte black finish his mics come in, but I thought it smudged too easily, so I thought what the heck...
