Just found this doc that I thought would be helpful!

Thanks Liz! Just saved it. There are never enough resources - especially for medical stuff. I've got a bunch bookmarked. Here are some with audio pronunciations. They come in REALLY handy.

http://www.merck.com/mmhe/resources/pronunciations/index/a.html

Good old mw - what's bizarre about this is if you input the word into the Dictionary category it comes up with an audio pronunciation. If you put it into the Medical category - no audio pronunciation.

And for those who do this in Spanish

Good find, thanks to all for posting the links.

I've found that a little quality time with "Gray's Anatomy" and other related books has proven particularly useful.

Thanks to all for these sites. As for as "Gray's Anatomy" and don't leave out "House", I think actors have the right attitude: "I don't need to know what it means as long as I can pronounce it."

*sighs*

the book (as opposed to the show) has been more than a bit useful to me, living in the "Pharmaceutical belt".

Especially comes in handy when you get to translate a doctor's shorthand/notes that have been added as a last minute supplement to the copy.
