Where does the "Hawke" come from? That makes a good name. The PJ should stay too.

There are so many wonderful sounding names to go with PJ. Maybe you should make some lists. PJ Johnson sounds swell. So does PJ Hawke, PJ Dundee, PJ Silver, PJ Sommers, PJ Hemmingway, Hennessey, Hammett...

Yikes. How will we ever decide what to name this baby? So many possibilities.

Hubert Hollyhock? Sounds like a name of an Ernie Kovaks character, like Percy Dovetonsils...(is Hubert your middle name or the pet's name?).

Mary...just to sate your curiosity, the "Hawke" is a remnant from a previous online chatname...I used the name hawk because Iwas a plasterer and a tuckpointer, and a hawk is the little mortarboard that one holds the little pile of plaster/mortar on while tooling the stuff. I added the "e" at the end 'cuz I thought it looked cool. Not so glamorous when ya know the truth!

And I think I'll go with the initials, because I think they work well. With what...probably the middle name. Gotta admit "PJ Hammer" sounds pretty good, but it sounds more like a rapper and frankly I just ain't that cool...

I think your handle is just phine!!!
PJ is real and Hawke is memorable, think of a logo to go with your handle
The most important thing is when someone addresses you as PJHawke it's you that you think about.
Years ago in another lifetime I was playing bass and doing background vocals in a country western duet... the front man went as Doc Clark... So I thought Hank Lewis would be a cool stage name... it was ok for about two weeks, but when folks would say Hank! play this tune or that tune I wouldn't get it?!!???!!! Long story short... Be whoever you are!
Again I think the Hawke is kewl!
Cheers!
Dave

PJ,

Yes. Hubert is my middle name. Since I'm the "third" in the family with the name I've been called all sorts of things. I've been called by Bill, Will, William, Hue and Bert. Never Hubert, tho. My dad was called that by his mother. He called himself Bill and I did that too. So, the name alone is versitile and chocked full of possibilities. <g> Never Trey or Trip.

My mother's name is Craig. Actually it's Nell Craig, but people call her Craig. She was named after Dr. Craig a friend of her parents who was single and didn't have any children. So, in his honor ther middle name was his last name.

(Bill sits back to hear the snores of a sleeping message board group)
