Wonder when that was recorded?

A few things struck me:
1. Rescue 9/11 as opposed to 9-1-1. First take flub or was it different across the pond?
2. The "chain" shockmount
3. That home studio needs some Auralex!

Good video. Thanks for sharing Joe!

The cars and taxis we saw were mainly F registration, which would be something like 1988.....when codecs cost a fortune. I have friends who paid £6000 for their codecs in the very early 90s.....I paid £12,000 for a flat/ aparment in 1988......how crazy is that.

1994, when ISDN was exciting and new!

Never mind the chain, check out the supreme gorgeousness of the mic hanging from it!!

Maybe so, but it seemed to work for the mighty Mr Hurley (a very nice guy, by the way) who was probably the first home-based British voice-over. He was doing spots from his home studio long before ISDN came along, back in the days when special circuits had to be booked way in advance, from Post Office Telephones (the national Telco in the UK before the era of privatisation).

A nice bit of nastalgic viewing there!

I think I've spotted how he gets round that one, Joe. Looks like a rolled up duvet under the desk to the right. (at 13:10 into the video).

is it just me - or does it appear that (at about 5:15 - or so) he's working for a young, fresh-faced kim jung il?
