We have buckets and the people who carry them are able to walk fairly fast, does that count? Stove runs on hot air so spend a lot of time downloading demos from StarsNsites.

Is that an AGA with a digital clock, Banksey? And where's your draining board? Smile

The stove is a Rangemaster which is made by Aga, old style and modern convenience; it weighs 8,500 tons. the worktop around the Belfast sink is oil treated so the dishes drain there. Would that make it a worktop drainer system?

Belfast sink 2745 metric tonnes
Worktop/drainer 7650 metric tonnes

........or may be the weights just seemed like that.

I LIKE the oiled wood worktop/drainer idea (and the souped-up AGA)

In our Manhattan apartment where space is premium and work surfaces are non-existent, everything has to stow away or be dual-purpose. (It's like camping in the City) We're just shopping to replace the sink right now, and THAT would be perfect....

OK - the kitchen shoot-out continues...

Kitchen looking toward laundry room as of 8:45 AM Pacific Time - prior to starting to heat up the "pre-cooked" turkey.

- Original 1927 green tile
- Old Western Holly stove
- New "old" looking Elmira Stoveworks Refrigerator bought specifically to keep the old stove happy
- New Exhaust fan structure
- Newly uncovered and refinished fir sub-floor
- New custom butcher block table and new base cabinet in corner.

The remodel process was painful - but the final results are pleasing and it has been a year now since the contractors left me alone - so the pain is nearly forgotten. Perhaps I will post the column that made the paper in the middle of the process.

Well, it shows the curtains I made anyway - I actually have a view of my neighbor's sort of lavendar colored house on the other side of my driveway. I guess it's that color that makes it look like a mountain range!

Well, since we're comparing kitchen interiors, I found this:

Doesn't show the appliances, but in our house, atmoshpere trumps nearly everything.

Looking in my files for "Interior" I also found this, called American Interior:

big kids around here.
