My 'babies' are not allowed near my recording equipment and they all know this. Since my husband and I will be spending a week in the mountains starting Saturday, I've been getting my travel studio together for the trip. I left the room for a few minutes and returned to find this. Fortunately, my mic wasn't in there! Although I wanted to kill him, he looked so sweet- I took a few photos before shooing him away.

Sound check complete... Bitchin

awww! I love that! Cats are great for finding out exactly where you don't want them. I can't wait to show the wife these pictures tonight.

Actually- we already did! Norman LOVED it! When I went to pick him up, he was playing with the toys and running down the hallway. They have a fish tank for the cats to watch, swings, toys, private sleeping quarters with a raised 4-post bed...the works! He will be spending time there this week, Xenadu will be staying at a friend's house, and little Macy will be fishing and hiking the Carolina mtns with us!

[disclaimer: I am not in the least bit ashamed of how badly I spoil my children]

Hey-- it is a cozy thing, it must be for me!

That's the way cats think.

Oh-- it's on the floor? it must be for me.
Oh, it's made of cardboard? it must be for me.

I think the same way. Gets me in trouble at times.

AWWWWW.... that is so cute!!!

Don't ya just love to watch your pets sleep??

We spoil our dogs, too. I have two really huge portraits of them... one in my office (and it's a close up portrait) and one in the kitchen. They're enormous, and people think we're nuts.

My husband's taking one of our dogs to WI with him in a couple of weeks, and is so excited to take him... he's been talking to Gipper about it for weeks now, telling him all about the prairie, the chipmunks, etc. It's hilarious.

Have fun in the mountains, Kara!

AWWWW how sweet. Most of us spoil our furry family members. In our case it's our birds.

You really MUST make him his very own studio. Perhaps an upgraded version. , like this one?

Say, I wonder if I could get my Mic in there . . .
