I've heard some talk about the Audio TX Communicator as a less expensive alternative to ISDN)

I'd like some help in explaining the difference? Do I already need an ISDN line if I get the Audio TX?

What else do I need to go along with it?

Thanks for any help you can give me?

Big ol' discussion about this exact thing recently.

Take a look at the thread called "ISDN Questions".

Here are some good links.

You need 2 ISDN lines, and dealing with the US phone companies is the hardest part of the process because they're clueless about ISDN. Buy all software and hardware from AudioTX. I'm now hooked up, and I'll be checking out the transmission this week with a local recording studio (thanks Charlie!).

My pleasure! I have my first session with it tomorrow morning, I'll let you know how it goes.

BTW, the session is for a national radio commercial I got from a casting director who was listening to demos on voice 123 and found mine. Could have knocked me over with a feather, I was beginning to think I had wasted my momey.
