My phone rang this morning with an unfamiliar number. It was ProComm calling to say they had received my demo and they wouldn't be adding me to their talent pool at this time. I remember when Deidre posted and said they had called her with the same message and what a class act they were. I have to agree. Just to receive a call like that is so unusual in this business, and they were great, very positive and encouraging.

Right now they're focusing on adding Spanish voice talents, if that's of help to anyone here.

Pro Comm is a full-on sales-and-production place with ISDN talent nationwide.
They make the ad sales, write copy and have the commercials, etc produced in-house.

Yep.
Class Act.
They are NOT a union house, nor do they pay anything close to union scale. HOWEVER--- you never have to be concerned about chasing down a payment, and you receive paperwork for each project you work on.

I checked out their site. So... are they only picking the "cream of the crop"? And if they review, and then reject your demo, is that considered an honor? I'm not knocking Pro Comm, I'm just trying to figure where they're coming from. Just asking.
I'm probably going to get beat-up for posting these questions.

No one is going to beat you up.

They keep a very small talent pool. VERY small, so they can keep the talents they DO have working a lot.
It's not an honor to be rejected, you nut. It IS nice to be treated with respect. Most of the time rejections are by default-- de fault of de fact that no one calls you.

Pro Comm at least lets you know they listened and gave a rat's patoot enough to tell you they don't have space for you right now.
