Hi,
anyone know what is required or what is the best way to transfer my existing sessions that I had created on a WinXP machine in the past to my new G4 Powerbook?

Is there a way for your Windows PC to reccognize the Mac as a "target disk"?
I know there is a way to do that between Macs, but I don't know about cross platform.
The key for writing sessions onto a new disk is the Save Session Copy In... command.
Have you asked at the DUC? _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Well, Deirdre, actually it is the other way round. The Mac can "see" my WinXP in the network - I set up a "shared folder" on my WinXP that can be seen from any computer on the network. I haven't tried it the other way around.

Can you use your Mac-run Pro Tools app to open Pro Tools files FROM the PC?
If so, I'll bet you can use the Save Session Copy In... command.
Choose a place within your Mac universe to save the newly-written file. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

If you created the sessions with PC/Mac compat. enabled you shouldn't have a problem. If not, just Select all the audio in the track, run Consolidate Selection, then recreate the session on the mac using the audio files that are generated ... it takes about 3 minutes if you have to go that route and is pretty painless... Consolidating the audio just ensures everything lines up.
