I dealt with the guys at Mercenary Audio and Vintage King recently and wanted to post a thumbs up for both companies. The reps for each were fantastic. Each was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and able to help me quickly. Actually, I hated having to choose just one company to order from. Both are class acts in my book and I'll be doing business with them again. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

I've dealt with Mercenary, as have others on this board.
Hell, I even managed to trick them into inviting me into their place to play around not to long ago.
Great guys, great gear.

Ha. The fellow I talked to at Mercenary (I forget his name ) mentioned you by name after I mentioned the VOBB. I guess you and your CC are very memorable. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

Meh, I'll take a Great River or LMNOPre over the Avalon any day. Better yet, a D.W. Fern or Requisite Audio.
Not a bad pre, just not my style.
LOL! Got mentioned by name?
Hopefully the sentence wasn't, "that rat-bastard <insert name here>."

No, he was very kind. Might have been Austin, I wish I could recall. Talked about how great it was having you up there and then said I should come visit and let them know what I like to drink so they can stock the fridge. Somehow I doubt my bill was as high as yours though. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

LOL! I think it was probably Adam.
Great guy... he was my second set of ears while doing a shootout of some tube mics. Poor bastage had to listen to me read selections from DCID 6/3 (if you can make that sound good, no copy will ever pose an obstacle to you).
LOL, he managed to get me to buy a preamp that I hadn't been planning on.
Seriously, I can't say enough good things about those guys. I'll definitely be popping in to see them the next time I'm in their area (Fletcher threated to sick his daughter on me if I didn't... lol). _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser
