And if so, what model do you recommend?

Yes, I have a couple of arms coming down from the ceiling. I use the Triad Orbit products; they are robust, by far the most flexible, and good looking. Plus their customer service is outstanding (I had a problem with a boom arm, they FedEx'd a new one to me same day). They are happy to chat with you about your needs as well.

Any pictures? Tips?

I am just about to do the same thing.

TIA

If you don't mind using a hacksaw here is a 24" gooseneck (holds up to 2.5 lbs) with some modification: https://www.amazon.com/SpinTech-Gooseneck-Microphone-Broadcasting-Broadcast/dp/B089N9YXZH

For a shorter version (19") Amazon has these: On-Stage-Microphone-19-inch-Gooseneck-Black($11.99USD) or Gator-Frameworks-Gooseneck-Microphones-GFW-MIC-GN19

You will need an adapter and a clip/mount for these, both are available, but it would if you like to MacGuyver things

Here are a couple of shots. (You'll note that one of the mounts currently is holding my headphones, as the Gefell that goes there is currently on loan.) The pix show the mounts that come with the units, and they are bolted into the ceiling (the ceiling is a rigid but nonreflective treatment with hard backing that takes the bolts).

The items I used are these (from Triad Orbit):
Triad Orbit Wallmount/Deskmount Plate
OA Triad Orbit OA Orbital Attachment
IO-A1A Triad Orbit IO-A1A
M3 Triad Orbit M3 Long Stem Adapter

Not sure why the photos look so big; they are 1000px wide... Hmmm.

Thanks Bruce! Very much appreciated.

Also, you've probably noticed the cable raceway in the photos. I have those on 3 walls and the ceiling.
