I am now singing, out loud, Neil Sedaka's "Laughter In The Rain". It's a downpour and the skies are not smoky.
I'm lovin' it - and there is no Mickey Dees for 145 miles.

A few days of clear skies now have been just wonderful and more rain is coming later this week.
However, the biggest fires may still be an issue until the end of October! I guess we have to start sweeping the forest floors now.

I came in here to whine about smoke and here was this thread! Granted, it's from Sept. But, here in Colorado, we still have three HUGE fires going, and the smoke is a constant. One or the other of the fires flares up or grows bigger every so often, and we get a new burst of smoke. About three weeks ago I had a 30-minute documentary script to narrate and I had to wait a day or two to get started because the smoke permeated every place, including the studio.

Nothing has changed CC. It is the same here and some days worse than others.

The big fires are about half contained here in Oregon and rain over the next two weeks should finish them off. There are no evacuation orders anymore.
Whew.
