I’ve had A lot less work the past two weeks which has been fine as we prepped and packed for the remodel. Hoping to rest today from the weekend’s big push, of course I get three jobs one of which was a short notice SC session. Thankfully Sam A Mowry lives a mile or so from the hotel and kindly offered to host it. You’re a mensch Mr. Mowry!

An update for those who love miniature disaster stories: because it took three weeks of wrangling and foot dragging between the HOA and insurance companies, the condo did not need extraordinary drying. The carpet and top plywood were removed along with bits of drywall and such, and a most foul smelling anti fungal agent was “carpet bombed” throughout. New wood looking vinyl flooring has been selected and in a week or so will be installed. Then UNloading the Pod and putting it all back.
Luckily I have kept the stench out of my studio so I’ve been able to work in there. Political commercial season has begun in earnest so I’m grateful.
We were supposed to pick up our new Boston terrier today in Southern Oregon, but it’s a no go with the hotel. Hopefully in a week or so. Gosh the folks here are nice, but forced hotel living Is the pits.

Not fun! Just keep thinking about the lovely 'new' condo you'll be moving back to. _________________ Elaine

For those keeping score, they're installing our new flooring now. I have to occasionally voice things in between the gunshot and hand grenade sound effects they create. They should be done by Friday so we can move back in. But because they just gave us notice (by showing up unannounced) I ran into the current Pods scheduling issue: due to summer busy-ness, pandemic restrictions, and the hazardous air situation here, they can't deliver our goods in a Pod until Wednesday of next week.
Yep, gonna be a full six weeks by the time all is said and done. Ugh.

Hopefully update the last:
Furniture comes back into the house Thursday and we rest our heads here Friday.
Whatever you do, avoid floods. They can sure put a crimp in your style!
