As we recently celebrated a big anniversary of our first landing on the Moon it was brought to my attention that I had been one of many to memorialize that amazing event for the prestigious news outlet, The Onion, and their series, This Week In History.
It's a couple of stories into this video. It is extremely NSFW, as if any of us are working within earshot of the sensitive these days.

Yeah, I haven't checked Fark in forever. It used to be my daily bastion of sanity, giggles, and sometimes actual news.

Neil was a very focused, controlled, very By The Book RIGHT STUFF kinda human... always aloof and not affected by the incredibly intense moment... just what you want in a test pilot.
Andrea Romano rehearsed the HELL out of him to get that line right for the First Step... I don't think he ever got over having disappointed her... _________________ SoundscenesDC, main talent and production offices just 385k km up the gravity well in LuNoHoCo Center, old satellite studios still bookable at the future site of Johnson City! |
