Hi friends,
A lot of my income is coming from the p2p's (Pay-To-Play Platforms), and I was wondering if there are any worthwhile ones I'd missed?
vdc is the biggie, with v123 a distant second in terms of workflow.
(I don't get sent a ton of auditions).
voiceovers.com has been very slow for me but I have gotten work off of it.
backstage.com has a ton of work and I think they're doing a 1 year subscription for just $90- it seems like a fairly untapped resource for VO's.
Are there any other p2p's in the mix that are worth a try that I'm missing?
Thanks gang!

You may want to check out Bodalgo. They're very much a VO-centered platform (Armin, who started Bodalgo, has VO credentials). They don't price-gouge, they have monthly payments if you want to try it out for a month or two, AND...
...when auditions are sent in, the last audition in goes to the TOP of the list, not the bottom like the other platforms. It's definitely worth a look. _________________ "What was that? An exhibition? We need emotional content." - Bruce Lee, Enter The Dragon |

I admire the restraint of our members who have chosen to not vent vociferously on the terrible ripoff nature of most P2Ps out there. Most of us despise them for being nothing more than a practice copy mill for raw beginners but promising so much more. You’re lucky ... so far.

We vent, we restrain, we bash... but that and $8.00 will get us a cup of coffee.
Sometimes saying nothing is more powerful than one million words.

Lol and Bish just got through telling me how he REALLY felt about a certain scratchy-voiced marketing guru |

And, thank you Bruce. Said with restraint but vociferously. _________________ Be thankful for the bad things in life. They opened your eyes to the good things you weren't paying attention to before. email: thevoice@usa.com |

Backstage has a lot of VO-like things but there's not a lot of VO JOB-jobs.
And be careful if you join-- their subscription-cancellation process is made to look like you've completed the operations but you haven't really, so they'll auto-renew your plan.
Getting a refund is a trip. I just had to sic Citibank on them. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

I think the problem is that this question has been asked and answered so many times that people are tired of it. _________________ Jack Daniel

I beg to differ, Todd--mine was completely without imagination or zest. _________________ Jack Daniel

I am really trying not to engage in P2P discussions any more. The information is out there and people know the state-of-play with the big players. Nothing I say will (or should) make a difference to their business plan if they have made their decision with full knowledge of what's going on and the mores of the companies involved. There are a couple of smaller legit/ethical players in the field where it's a straight business call, but they are not "the big ones".
