|
|
Happened to see that a YouTube video that I narrated has had 4.9 million views. Payment was the normal rate that the studio/casting agency pays.
But it feels like there should be more compensation for a video that gets almost as many views as the entire population of Finland as compared to the population of Vatican City.
The office manager at the studio/casting agency is open to discussing the matter.
What would be fair ? Who could follow the number of views ?
Your thoughts are most welcome! _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Hmmmm. Well a penny per view would work out to $49,000 or a little over $45,000 Euros. Wonderful if you can get it. However....
Historically web narrations have been treated as standard corporate narrations without consideration of head count. Basically a one shot deal. Slightly more money if they go public versus an internal production.
Here's the GVAA rate guide. It looks like $1,000 is the top number they thought of.
