In my hand the UK equivalent of $2. Around 5 billion people on this planet have to survive every day on that amount of money or less. Take a photo of you holding £1.59 or $2 or your currency equivalent.

You're very generous Todd. The group is worth anywhere from $4 to $40 depending on age and condition.

oh, trust me, these are all FV (face value) coins. you're right, though, kennedy 1/2 dollars can be a good find ... if you find the right one. the good ones are in a separate box.
funny story: (well maybe not, but here goes). mr. & mrs. lightfoot were an elderly couple in our neighborhood who the kids just loved when they were little (all the neighborhood kids). mrs. lightfoot always had popsicles for them in the summertime - mr. lightfoot epoxied coins to his driveway and laugh at kids tried to pick them up ... anyhoo ... mr. lightfoot "mined" coins from the local banks. he would drive around and buy hundreds of $$$ of quarters, dimes & 50¢ pieces - go home inspect them all - keep the silver-content coins & mark the the rest with a red marker & cash them back in at a bank or two. nobody knows how much silver he had hidden around his property. i wqs talking to him one day and noticed his '91 bonneville was riding so low in the back that the front tires were almost off the ground. he opened the trunk & it was FULL of bags & boxes of coins. the thing was bottomed out. long story longer, i got my truck & the boys loaded to booty from the boot into the back and on mr. lightfoot's orders took 1/2 (by weight) back to the bank to cash in & 1/2 to holy spirit church.
i think most of the good stuff is "mined out" these days --- but i'll always remember that about mr. lightfoot.
here's one of mr. lightfoot's 1/2 dollars - i have several of them.

What a great story. Thank you for sharing. You really should check into getting that broken shift key fixed on your keyboard. _________________ If attacked by a mob of clowns go for the juggler.

oh, i know how to use upper case -- mostly, i just choose not to. it really saves a lot of time. plus, those "capital" letters think they're so great ... harumph. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
