If nothing else this is an interesting history lesson.
Having dreams is wonderful but to make things happen one needs to be wide awake.

I am seeing our (self-appointed) leaders starting to deliver sermons from the mount and to walk on water (I have far ruder images, but VO-BB has decency standards). I see factions developing and battle-lines being draw by their acolytes (mainly on Facebook). The common enemy is laughing his arse off because the old "divide and conquer" has worked again!
It's all very cult-like. It's all very disturbing! _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

I share all y’all’s outrage at our current situation and at the same time appreciate your keeping this at a low simmer in this particular place. We have got to vent our steam and our spleens or we will explode and that’s where video chats like today’s can be an excellent opportunity to let loose among friends in a private setting.
I encourage you all to speak out, especially on social platforms that reach more people or even on the streets when that becomes necessary.
It looks like we’re in for some tumultuous times and heartache in our business and in the world and I’m glad we have each other for sharing and support.

i TRULY believe that if everyone took a 14 day hiatus from all media - social and otherwise - we would feel a whole lot better.
present board excluded.
i can't tell you how many times a day i hear - "did you see on facebook that ..." no. no, i did not. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

On the other hand, while the world is sheltering in place, it's good to have a means by which we can maintain our connection with each other when we can't do so in the flesh. Social media would be great if it were more social and less media. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

And the thing is there is some accurate information on FB, mixed in with a lot terrible crap. There’s an audio clip going around of woman detailing how drinking hot water will wash the virus down into your stomach where the acid will kill it.
So the news items and anecdotal evidence need to be taken with a grain of salt (preferably ancient organic pink Himalayan). The warm humor and supportive comments are a big plus right now IMO.
