that's a very fair point. one drawback to that, though, is the need to change out the masks regularly. failure to do so introduces other elements of bacterial exposure that is also not kind to the body.
so much hygiene to keep track of ... |

Back in my army days I knew a medic who, ironically, suffered from the most unfortunate, loud, hacking cough, so violent it would physically propel him backwards with each episode. Sgt. Marty was also responsible for administering inoculations. The abject fear experienced by every soldier lined up to be injected by Marty was palpable given the backward propulsion of his body was countered by the forward propulsion of his injecting arm.
Anyway, I have taken to replicating Sgt. Marty's cough while out and about and it's proving most effective at keeping people away. It even provided me with unhindered passage to the Costco toilet rolls.
In addition, my OCD is loving the shift in ablutions.

king, snohomish, and pierce counties in washington state forcing mandatory cancellation of any event with over 250 people who would gather.
seattle school district is shutting down for two weeks entirely starting tomorrow.
getting crazy up here. stay locked in the booths. wash your hands. |
