Is anyone planning on going to VO-Atlanta? Has the current health issue given you pause? Do you have any other trips planned that are "up in the air" now?

We're planning a trip to New England in June. Hmmmm.

Southwest Airlines sent a message saying they're disinfecting their planes every night. Anyone for just morning flights?

leaving seattle, i just went to and came back from minneapolis/st paul for a show my band was in and found that current circumstances don't seem to be having an impact on air travel from my two flight experience. 100% full flights both to and from seattle. most folks in minnesota that i encountered were only casually discussing the situation rather than being alarmed by it.

their store shelves were still barren where lysol and hand sanitizer were concerned though...

Really. That's like the office of the otolaryngologist I used to go to. Rather than paper forms, all patient interaction is done with several tablet devices that they claimed to have disinfected every night. That means anyone using them before they close each day is fair game to whatever has accumulated on them. And I sure hope they don't use Lysol spray the way it's used in commercials and expect to disinfect.

Still on. As of yesterday over 100 registered for the AudioBook Academy. I didn't check the main conference numbers. Come on it, the waters great.

I just know the minute I put all that gear on I'd have to go the bathroom, taking it all off as I ran down the hallway, spreading joy to everyone.

I do believe I'll be in New England at the same time as Bruce. Smile

A meet-up would be fun. Who's bringing the hand sanitizer?

Laugh

Looks like VO Atlanta's postponed, according to a recent post by J. Michael Collin on FB.

Whilst such events are not for me I understand that many people enjoy them immensely.

Many people who try to make a living from voice work will have put a huge chunk of debt on to their credit cards in the hope of gaining some traction in the world that has fed me for over 3 decades. I believe for the majority false hope follows false hope so may be whilst the postponement sucks it may prove a sea change for those who are stuck in the rut, fast becoming the grave for dreams.

Now, here's a positive. If you know anyone who wanted some input into their career as a voice from VOAtlanta pass this offer on to them. Free Skype session with me, ask anything and I'll try to help.

Arrogant? No. It's not my fault I'm awesome!

If VOAtlanta is your thing, it's been canceled.

Does anyone know what's going on with VO Atlanta and whether J Michael Collins has posted on the subject?

It's an old cliche... but Philip owes me a new keyboard... spit-take coffee all over this one now.

... and yes, I know I quoted an entire post... but it was only one line (which, I guess, proved the point about quality beating quantity)
