I've recently been functioning in a different capacity for one of my clients, and I need to know if what I'm billing is fair.
For this client, I provide casting: given the specs for actors (one or more), I find and audition talent, and submit several of the best to the client to make the ultimate choice. Once the talent is selected, I provide the script and any direction, pronunciations, etc., have each record their respective roles, and then assemble the project, doing any necessary take selection, editing, cleaning, balancing levels between all participants, etc.. Of course, after submitting the finished project, there are usually some revisions to coordinate, and then, invoicing.
My audio production experience goes back over 40 years, but primarily in radio; not VO for corporate communications. So, please: into what range (low to high) would a fair hourly rate for providing these services fall?
Thanks! _________________ Mike
