I was going through some work I recently found online and I realized I hadn't updated my corporate narration demo in AGES. So to fulfill my daily ration of procrastination I decided to see what I would update it with. I found that a lot of the "corporate" I've done over the last year or so wasn't very "corporatey" . So I put together a mix of some of the styles - some more "corporate" others decidedly not. Most of this is from the last year, though a couple of bits are from farther back. Ahead of their time.

Corporate Mix

Anyone else who does corporate find the same?

It might prevent you from getting really boring work, cos there’s nothing boring about it. Well done!

Thanks, Bruce.

I just realized every single one of these jobs was out of Europe. Anyone else finding more interesting work coming from the other side of the pond?

Melissa

Most of my corporate work comes from Europe and I am usually pleasantly surprised when I see the final product and how innovative some of the videos are. I can't compare it with the US stuff as I don't do much.

Really liked your stuff. As Bruce said, it is definitely not boring, crusty corporate!

Your mix sounds great Smile

Most of what I do is corporate narration in Europe and if I raise an eyebrow during a session they ask that I dial it back !

It must depend on the creative agency or client

I guess it does. If I think about it, most of the stuff I get out of Europe IS different. And in many instances they're very specific about the "feel" they want as opposed to the "read" they want.

Maybe it's a gender thing and when our European creatives want to get more, errr, creative, they lean towards picking a female talent?

A good chunk of my bookings are European corporate jobs too, and I'm in the same boat as Scott with this one. Hate to boost a stereotype, but Germans especially seem to like straight-up equal parts gravitas and pedantic. Restraint uber alles.

Maybe. That's funny.
The first clip - German Prodco - German end client
5th one - (where I play the wind) German Prodco - Swiss client
6th one - (the spoken word thing) German company.

Nothing restrained about these - interesting.
