We've crossed into Christmas Day, even though it's still night.
I hope you all have a grand and glorious day, full of good food, toys and a nap.
All the very best,

Herald the arrival of Christmas Day. At 0040 today there was a sound from the beach in Portgordon t'was a lone Flugel Horn playing Christmas Carols by lamplight. |

I can't remember the last time we had a "green" Christmas here in Central New York. Kinda sad, but on the other hand, no plowing/shoveling!!
Merry Christmas to all. Count your blessings!!

I just wanted to take time to wish everyone on the board (especially our esteemed web czar Deidre for having us) a very Merry Christmas and a glorious and prosperous New Year.
This year is a little difficult for us. My mother-in-law passed this summer and my son moved to Idaho so this is our first Christmas without them. As the rest of the family (my wife, father-in-law, sister-in-law and her husband, our younger niece and her new husband and our older niece and her boyfriend) and I sat around the tree listening to Gregorian Christmas chants and opening our presents I couldn't help but think about how grateful all of us should be to have wonderful friends and family. This is the season to celebrate those who are still with us and to remember those who are absent.
Although I am not well known on the board yet I do feel you are all my friends. In keeping with that sentiment I wish for all of you and your's the best life has to offer and as Tiny Tim said, "God bless us, everyone!" _________________ Ron Phillips

Merry Christmas to all my friends on the VO-BB... you know who you are.
Sorry to say that I will probably gain a pound or two over the holidays. What with pumpkin bread... fudge... peppermint bark... a turkey and ham in the oven... and we haven't opened presents yet!
And for those that would ask... San Diego, sunny, cool (in the low 70's)... the streets are dry... no snow... but lots of SAN DIEGO CHARGERS PRIDE!!!!

The turkey is in the oven and we will have our repast on the back deck in - what is it Bailey and Greg - 80 degrees of gorgeous sunshine! I will post a photo with the table laden with goodies once we get that far...
(I haven't gone mad yet from the Christmas Story marathon, but that's because I am in here at the computer for a while.)
Ho ho ho -- no wait - that would be HO HO HO - no...hO Ho ho - no, that's not right either.... _________________ Playing for a living...

Good job, Connie. Isn't the So Cal traffic bad enough as it is without the likes of you practically beckoning people from points east to pack their things and come on over? Do I have to come down there and swat you? I can be there in about an hour and a half.
She's kidding, you guys. The sky is black with soot. Nothing to see here.
Happy Christmas, wherever you are-- but especially if you're not on the 405, 105 or 5 freeways!
