Have been on the site since one year and to be honest I do win regular work.... however, I am finding that there is pattern of people hearing my auditions ..(then a period where no auditions are being listed at all i.e. Now) ....then there is a period of listening but no one hiring and then,... there is a period where I almost get a regular thumbs up and almost every tenth job I win...... has any one else experienced this ? these periods are almost predictable... can it be ?

thanks in advance for any tips, tricks and bonus info.......

Analysis of P2P stats and behaviour can lead to madness. There is no rhyme nor reason to any of it. I used to do it obsessively until I realized that there was no discernible pattern because the people making the "judgements" are not given any empirical yardsticks... be that a "thumbs-up" or a one-to-four star rating. It's the same with the frequency and "clumping" of prospective jobs. I still partake of the occasional P2P audition, but I really do "send and forget". Time spent doing anything else is time wasted... and if you do the maths, adds hours to the time spent recording the "wins" reducing your hourly rate to five & thruppence ha'penny (on a good day).

The only feedback that matters is, "did you get the job?"

Mathematics for Voiceoverists

Chance has NO memory.

To pass the exam "Mathematics for Voiceoverists"

Answer the following question.

When calculating your potential success in auditions/job applications mathematically what percentage should be included to accurately assess value based upon historic "chance" experience.

(A) 0%
(B) 275% because I gotta good feelin' about this.

This counts towards the final exam.
