I'm putting a new website together...what's the best audio player to use for VO demos?

A lot of us like the professional look and flexibility of the VoiceZam player. You can have several demos in one player and quickly change the elements of each demo without re-editing the whole thing. It's about $16 a month for their basic package and I think well worth it.

You're welcome of course to look at the one on my site.

I've been using MP3J on my site and really like it. One time payment, slick player with lots of customization options.

I'm going to throw in another vote for VoiceZam. The intuitive functioning of the player makes it all worth it. For example, two weeks ago I was in session with a client over phone patch. At the start of the session, they were trying to quickly zone me in on the sound they wanted. I could hear them clicking through my demo cuts until they found the one they wanted in a matter of seconds. It saved time and frustration with physically trying out different styles until we landed on one or listening through the entire demo until they reached the cut they wanted.

Funny, a couple weeks ago I looked at Dan-O's site and Bruce's site, and then went to my own site and installed Voicezam.

For those who realize you only get a few seconds before a casting agent bails, or have been selected from your demo for a project, but don’t know which clip they used, this pretty much takes care of the problem. They can be listened to in order, listened selectively, downloaded singularly and depending how you construct it, pretty much a seamless production. And one of the best features, you actually know if people have been to your site and listened to your demos. Not only which ones, but time spent on each.

IMO, Voicezam has nailed down the loose ends on demos. Worth the investment!
