This post has been edited to change the thread title and to more clearly ask what I'm hoping to learn.

Mac users, please tell me, apart from Adobe Audition, what audio recording/editing software you use; software that also allows the easy creation and exporting of regions (aka clips or subclips).

Also, if you don't use Audition, does your DAW make it easy to remove/repair issues like mouth clicks?

Thanks!

Thanks, Todd!

(I've just edited my original post to specify that MacOS is my platform)

Thanks, David.

I still have Audition CS5.5. After I purge all Creative Cloud files from my drive, I'll have to reinstall it and see if it works.

TwistedWave is my audio editor of choice. Have not used any functions relating to clips, but it does have that capability. Just read the online TW manual.

For anything needing multi-tracks, I am using CS6 on my Mac (without paying a monthly fee).

I am probably the oddball here because I use Ableton Live. I've been producing music with it for years so my workflow is fast at this point. The only thing I feel it's missing, as far as functionality, would be the ability to export in batches versus single files. Other than that it is a solid DAW. I believe there is a free version out there to try if interested.

I'm still running AA 1.5 for editing on my desktop. All my VST plugins work great with it. Picked up a copy of 3.0 off of Ebay a few months ago for $5 for my travel rig.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. In my case, I doubt very much that earlier versions of Audition will work with my current OS, Sierra (10.12.6).

However, if anyone browsing this thread uses Adobe Creative Cloud, something I missed when signing up a year ago is this: if you decide to cancel your subscription, you will be charged a cancellation fee amounting to 50% of whatever is left of your plan for that year.

That applies to PC users of Adobe Creative Cloud, too.

I'm using the Mack-Truck-where-a-pickup-would-do Pro Tools because that's what I learned on. I'm on Yosemite, using PT version 11.
I use Izotope for declicking/decrackling and I've got custom plug-in presets for gating and the ever popular popped P.

I’m using Audio Desk by MOTU which comes for free with their digital devices. Super easy to use.
