So, I was a script consultant for a show produced by a colleague of mine who does science films for planetarium facilities. (We will soon be working with him again on another project...)
Anyway, I saw the show the night before last for the first time, and all the way through, I kept thinking, "I know that voice". When the credits rolled, I must admit I was looking for MY consultant credit, but also to find who the magnificent voice was! Turns out it was our own Philip Banks. I was grinning ear to ear -- here's one of our VO tribe performing admirably on the type of show I've worked on (most as writer and producer) for many years! I went up to the producer afterward and asked him how he found Philip and told him how I knew of Philip and we marveled at what a small world it really is.
Mind you, my work was done before the narrator was selected, and it didn't occur to me to ask who the narrator would be at that time. So, I was delightfully surprised to find an old friend in the credits.
Well done, sir! Well done!

The same producers were involved in a beautiful project a few years ago that resulted in one of the most stunningly touching histories of flight I've ever seen. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420

I love the way we randomly get connected through work we do - without even knowing it! _________________ www.melissaeXelberth.com

Just listening to this soundtrack again while working on the trailer for the show and loving every minute of it! _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |
