Technically we just sit in a room or a booth and yak at a mic, but it's what we say that can be interesting. In the past couple of years I've taught people how to fly an airplane and how to spot potential terrorists at the Boston Marathon. I've described last ditch chemotherapy drugs to doctors for patients who haven't responded to anything else. To be fair I also "sell" motorhomes to folks in Vermont.

Today I talked to President Trump on behalf of a major Aerospace company regarding the Import/Export Bank. Just another job on just another day.

Have you done anything unique or interesting from your booth or bedroom studio lately? Fun to share.

I've sold cars in California, condos in Rhode Island, tickets to the circus in Massachusetts, and a hunting & fishing show in Connecticut. Over the past year, I've helped shepherd about a half dozen furniture stores out of business, most recently in Calgary. And of course, I keep men all over the country informed about what to do if they find themselves too often having to get up in the middle of the night to pee.

I've been spreading paranoia in the corporate world about cyber security for about five different companies... doing launch stuff for numerous "innovative" new products, and telling Jaguar customers about the Tata airbag recall (for which my inner twelve year-old will be eternally grateful).

The usual names, addresses and telephone number of dentists, eye docs and lawyers for Allstate - and some sort of special procedure to ensure you don't dip your needle into the hydrochloric acid.

This reminds me that years ago I narrated a safety video for new employees coming to work on an oil rig in the Persian Gulf, and in the section on what to do if the rig catches fire I told them to run like hell to a lifeboat and get the f#*k away from there... but of course it was worded in much more reassuring language.

I've been convincing people to start off their degree at specific community colleges, exclaiming that you can win a trip to a country music festival through an auto parts retailer, revealing pizza tracking technology, and reminding airline employees not to load an plane with damaged equipment.

Some days I just wonder whose lives I am enhancing by attempting to sway the spending habits of the listening public.

I thought the herpes was done but Todd keeps giving it back to me. I'm churning through over 10,000 prompts for a project that is clearly big but also fantastic. I've read that sheet of paper that comes in your drugs. You know, the long and technical one? Many of those. I did the audio stops for a museum and these all dealt with Mary and they were beautiful. I've talked about how affordable and beneficial facial fillers are. I've thanks my lucky stars that I have all of this strangeness in my life and may it continue for many, many more years.

I am all over the map. I have a really great client who sends me a great variety of work, who sent me a script in which I had to vomit. Yeah, not my favorite. But he was apologetic, and thought it was gross too, and I really like him, so I let it slide. I also got to voice around 20 characters in a videogame, which was a blast. And I'm doing some teaching through a fantastic elearning company. Never a dull moment Smile

There will be/is a bit of road construction in Beverly Hills of all places and it turns out I am just the perfect voice to make you aware of it and maybe consider an alternate route.

Also did a small TV promo gig. And I'm keeping you company while on hold at a lawyer's office.
