Audio quality, not your voice, is a little bright but you made a good job of the piece. Certain things may not have been to my taste but any good director/producer would steer your read the way he wanted. I quite liked what you did. Performance is fixable if the person paying the bill wanted it to be fixed, and that if is a big if.

Two things: You've got to work at reducing the sibilance with your esses, and that's largely a personal fix, not a software fix. I don't know how to do it but I'm sure there's advice on the web. I didn't hear any particular flaws with your studio setup.

When you're narrating explainers or any video with visuals it's a good idea to imagine each scene as you read and leave just a bit of editing space between each line or thought. This gives the video editor the ability to stretch your work out or bring it together to match his or her cutting of the video.

OK, a third thing. I'm thinking you'd do better to lighten up on the anger just a tad. More humorously frustrated than pissed off might work better.

What Philip and Bruce said. I was actually quite surprised at the life in that SM7b. I own one (currently an expensive ornament) and that recording didn't have "dynamic mic" plastered all over it. That 610 must have a fair degree of lift in it as well as the 7b has a notoriously low output. I heard a couple of popped P sounds, but that's no biggie.

Thankyou so much Bruce and Phillip!!

Re: the brightness, you'd go into the eq wave and bring the treble wave down a smidge?

I'll look into reducing sibilants, much obliged!

i agree with peter -- that sm7b doesn't sound like "right" to me. check your input settings before messing around in post. and, yes, sibilants.

I like your energy. The men above are spot on. Another thing I will point out is your f whistle. I have that problem more than I like to admit (5th bites me too often) so I'm very vigilant about listening to it. It's not something you can really take out in post unless you have substitute audio. Keep up the good work! And HI, btw. Welcome to the board.

Oh, gawd! The dreaded f-whistle. I thought I was the only one plagued with that. Thanks, Mandy, for letting me know I'm not alone.

However, depending on their severity, Adobe Audition and its Spectral Display does allow treatment of them. If the whistle is limited to a tight band of frequencies, they can be highlighted and suppressed or deleted without affecting other audible frequencies. Unfortunately, in my case fairly often, the whistle occurs in lower frequencies over a wider area and that's when I have to replace the "f" with another or patch it with a new recording.
