OK. So I have been listening, studying, listening and studying more. I have also bought a new condensor mic as the sound from my dynamic was just not up to par. I have attached something I have been messing around with.

Am I moving in the right direction?

Thanks as always!

Now I am confused. What is my final destination? Thurso, John O'Groats, Lerwick or the Shell Brent fields? Please don't make me go back to the Brent fields!!!!!

Tromso. Every Voiceoverist must, at least once in their life visit Tromso.

'tis the way of things.

Beneath this modest monument lies the remains of the snow flake in which the perfect silence of the Iranian Double Pause was said to have been found.

... but Philip, we are all snowflakes... unique and beautiful ones that hold in our hearts the secrets of the double... and even the hitherto undiscovered (or even mythical) Iranian triple-pause! I know some cynics say there is no space between an Iranian double and a half-beat, but I've heard a wise old VO master say that if you put aside your skepticism, work on the "shaved-half-beat" enough, one day you will find the triple. But you have to want to find it, really want to.

I feel confident in saying this as I have been to Tromso a number of times. Here's picture of my local guide...

(This thread is nowl totally lost on any Norwenophobes... or whatever they're called)

Been to Tromso too, but alas, only at Mid-summer, and the snow was only on the mountaintops Smile

I tried to book a flight to Tromso but they refused. The said I needed a a special visa if I was looking to visit the remains of the snowflake. Mentioning that I needed a letter of invitation from the mighty Lord Philip of Banffshire or someone of similar esteem. My journey continues.....................
