If you aren't married to Wordpress you may want to check out weebly, wix or jimdo. Weebly is pretty much a drag and drop builder and is considered the easiest. Plus, I believe they will all host your domain. I've use jimdo for an ecommerce site and liked it. Most of them have a $99 a year package that should allow you to add an audio plugin.

I've got it running on a Squarespace site... no problems. I put Wordpress up there with ProTools... they work just fine but unless you have already developed an expertise, there's little point in learning how these behemoths work... there are now easier (and equally functional) alternatives.

But... back to the original question. Why not just call/email Bob Merkel direct? He's a really helpful guy and will do what's needed to keep a client happy.

If you are already hosted by GoDaddy; why not use the GoDaddy web design setup? It works, has all the plugins you need and is fairly cheap for what is available.

I cannot comment on WordPress or any of the other things suggested here, but I do believe the use of Occam's Razor is warranted. Or, at least the use of the K.I.S.S. system.

As long as we're talking VoiceZam, I'll admit I'm trying to play catch-up. My Wordpress-based website has the ability to play audio, very nicely, using the ZB Player plugin.

What are the advantages of using VoiceZam?

Personally I found that the only real advantages where the ease with which you could add demos and the statistics about what people listen to. It is definitely good for analyzing the effectiveness of your demos. However, at a certain point you will start to see patterns and you can tweak your demos so that most people listen all the way through. After that though, you really don't need the statistics.

That's just my experience though. YMMV

I thought I had my own hosting and domain name. Lord knows I paid real money to GoDaddy for a couple of domain names. I paid someone to start this whole thing up for me and I never thought to ask some of those questions. I didn't know what questions to ask!

A note about having a THIRD PARTY take care of your website.

You always want to make sure that your website is registered in YOUR NAME and not your Web Developer's.

It's not rocket science and logging into Godaddy or 1and1 or any of those hosting site is easy...but if you pay someone to take care of all of this for you and they register the site in their name...they own it. Not you.

And...that is not cool. JS

Thanks, guys! The site is registered in my name, but hosted by WP through GoDaddy. The web-developer is my former neighbor and friend. She's a little tough to reach sometimes.

I emailed Bob Merkel and he responded to me this weekend. Bottomline is that I need to make some changes to my website. I'm due for some changes anyway so I can customize and really begin to establish my "brand".

Thank you for the feedback and advice! I have a few things to take care of first before re-doing my website, but it will be addressed in 2015.

You're right, CA, it's not rocket science. Getting back into VO is so much different now than in the old days. Home equipment, self-engineering, self-directing, websites, blogs, Twitter, FB, etc. I'm doing slightly larger than babysteps, but I'm getting there.
