I saw this trailer the other day in the theater and was mezmerized by the VO:
Deja Vu
It's a 180 from all of the DLF style voices. |

Honestly, the subject line was to attract people to the thread. Much like the headlines on CNN and Fox:
The Best President?
The Worst President?
I won't say which network said which, but...(oh crap. I hear Deebs charging in already to make sure this thread doesn't turn political.)
Anyway, it worked and you opened the thread. I really wanted to point out a fantastic VO. Loved the style. |

I liked it. Nice not to be growled at in an affected way. the only thing I don't care for is the .........................................................................pause in a sen....
tence for no reason at all.
"You feel like you've known her" came out as "You feel like you've..........know her".
Now we know what happens when a radio station imaging producer moves on to movie trailers. Next step, bring on the girlie voices! |

Cooolll....Corey did a great job. Personally, I prefer the version voiced by Phil Terrance. He's the voice of the Sci Fi Channel. He just seems like a better "fit" to me. |

OK - help me out here - why would they record two different promos? I'm confused...
Is one of them like our Promo exercises here in our little VO family...or are they both running? _________________ Playing for a living...

My guess would be that one of them is the spec done by another studio... I'm sure this isn't news to many of you, but my understanding of movie trailer production is that the film studio sends out the stock audio and and video packages to multiple preferred production houses and then each house fully produces the various trailers (15, 30, theatrical etc...). The studio then selects the package that they prefer and put it into broadcast etc...
From what I've heard, it's not uncommon for the same v/o to voice multiple trailers for the same film with multiple production companies. Not bad huh... getting paid for multiple spec trailers that may or may not ever make it to broadcast! I can't wait for those bags of money to be left at my front door _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs

So far it's just been the little zip lock bagies that hold about a 150 smarties, and to top it all off... they don't even deliver them to my front door, I have to walk to the end of the driveway for them. _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs
