Our fall foliage display has come and gone in north/central Utah, but still hanging on down south. Here are some colors that NEVER go away. The red rock desert is something to see! (Does anyone know why putfile.com images pasted here are small? I can click on it, though, and get the full size. Maybe that's why...to bring the viewer to the site.)
Lovely pictures, Deirdre. Makes me homesick for New England. Nonetheless, I am a native Yankee who can say assuredly that the autumn colors here are quite spectacular (of course, not like Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine).

All that traffic reminded me of the 610 Loop in Houston at 5:00pm... uhhhh... without the stress that is.

Central Texas is relatively unremarkable at the moment, although it does perhaps look slightly less scorched now that temps are in the 70s...

I couldn't resist. I had only the cell phone with me when I walked the dog this afternoon (after a 3.5 hr. narration this morning), so obviously the slightly off colors in the picture don't do the scene justice, but I wanted to share.

OK... me, too...
Here's a shot of my neighbor's place across the street. They have a big house out in front, but I wasn't as interested in that as I was in what I saw when I pulled out of our complex one day a few weeks ago.
