Coincidentally, I just came from an audition at a studio. And speaking of San Diego, my older daughter is on the morning show on 91X there. |
I'll tune it in when I get a moment. Used to know several of the jocks there. Don't listen to much radio these days - hard to record when the radio is on! _________________ Playing for a living...

I do most auditions from home, although a couple of studios and casting companies request auditions to be done there. I also have a couple of clients for whom I record final audio here at home. But I'd say for 90% of my work, I'm booked at studios in town. Of those, spot work is usually done with the usual cast of characters (anyone who can get out of the office for a couple of hours: account person, producer, writer, intern, etc.).
Most narrations are done either at a studio via phone patch with the client or more often with just me and the engineer. My home studio is also used for pickups after the fact, for some of the longer narrations that were originally done at the Beantown studio. |
