Oh yes, my favourite ,,,,seriously.
I'm juggling stuff here both personally (not nice) and professionally (fabby) but I will make this happen, somehow.
Once air fare, hotel and venue costs are covered I'll make a few quid but my real hope is that anyone who shows up will make at least an extra $1,000 or so from one little snippet of information.
This is not a VO diet pill it IS about healthy diet and exercise. |

And for those of us on this side of the pond, Philip?*

The following pic demonstrates something made in Utah. Not that you would come here but I would bring you some of this if I was guaranteed a seat at the LA table. The competition will be stiff!
I'll be in that area first week of April. See you then! _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I would be there in New York.
I would be there in LA.
I would be there after dark.
I would be there any day.
With promises never, ever to make any more attempts at verse. _________________ Dangerous.

Yes it is f'real.
1st will be NYC - Need central venue with white board and a "baby" PA system with 2 mics or a recording studio with seating for 20 people. |

That's it! I have had enough!!!
I cannot cogitate any longer on reasons for not attending this event. Even as an amateur hobbyist. To learn is to change. It has to be done!
When you make it to the west coast, count me in! I have whiteboard, mics and baby PA. All but a proper studio. However, I might be able to arrange a venue as well. Perhaps on the water in lovely Newport Beach? I have a few in's around here.... Most have libations and eats at our beck and call. A horrendous thought...
Any dates in mind?

NYC, I'm there!
Unless...you want to do this in the beautiful Catskills.
No distractions....beautiful view.... _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

A couple of days ago I had a chat with someone who may get his company to pick up the baton on my behalf. Hopefully this will work out ok.
I turn up, do the thing and then enjoy every moment.
I sent an email to someone this morning who would like to attend and I included a couple of random thoughts which may or may not prove helpful for anyone who feels inclined to raid their bank accounts to attend the jamboree.
WARNING - Text includes mention of a specific amount of money. If open declarations are likely to cause offence look away now
"My eureka moment was probably over 10 years ago when I changed one thing. I was doing just fine but needed to walk away from one area of work, so I did. 1 year later I found that I'd earned 58.1% more.
I started work on Monday of this week with a big fat ZERO in the diary (nothing booked), by close of play on Monday VO fees generated $9,500. Total Hours training as a VO in 24 years another big fat ZERO. Cynicism (I'm not cynical of training and education) will get you nowhere and there is medical evidence to show it will make your bottom fall off and cause your ears to bleed when anyone says Penguin. Scepticism, however, without sneering will turn things around like a turny-roundy-thing.
If as a result of the above you said "AWESOME", save your money. If you thought "Tw*t!" You gotta be there!
The plan is to have a great deal of fun, see old friends, make new ones and send a few people away with something constructive to do. Voice Over work is not my life it's just supposed to pay for it." |

Philip,
How do you want the funds and do we send them to you directly or to some other account? _________________ Be well,

When I have a list of names I'll let people have my bank details for a wire transfer or paypal for payment two weeks ahead of time.
Hilton in Time Square looks good so I'll talk to the business event person on Monday.
I'm more interested in making this work for anyone who attends than walking away with a fat profit.
Anyone who would like to attend please send me an email banksey@talk21.com
Additional note - Flights booked and travel visa obtained so that's the important parts done. |
