I guess I'll join WMA then. They sound like an up-and-comer.

fwiw Dave, I thought it was pretty funny! My advisor in grad school used to say stuff like that and it would always crack me up ("that Mozart, mark my words, he's goin' places. And remember where you heard it!")

Could use a tip for getting signed with an agent! I sent my demo to
one of the big ones in NYC and he replied that my demo was solid
and that I had talent but it needed tweaking a little and just wasn't what
was being bought in the market place these days... (at least he
was honest...) I know several guys who are on the site and are repped
with this firm.. Then I heard...if you are not in NY, they won't work with
you. BULL I told the person... One of their talents on their roster resides
in Florence.....Alabama...

Tips anyone....?

Dave -

Well, if the agency is getting 15% from you (as opposed to the more traditional 10%) and their website and other technology is sub-par with little hopes of improvement, then I agree with you wholeheartedly that they are entitled to very little in terms of further remuneration.

Lisa-- I can't understand why one of your agents makes you pay your own postage. It just seems so ridiculous! Postage is part of the cost of doing business.

I suppose with each VO person paying the postage it spreads out the "pain" so it's unnoticeable, but I can't imagine Hal Douglas needing SASEs to get his money.
