I have 16 and constantly run out. But I have a tons of games and other fun stuff. If you anticipate doing the same, then get the extra space. _________________ Jeff

So, George, this might be a dumb question, but the AT shotgun would work with an M and Android tablet, too, right? |

I've been eyeing that AT 875r for a while, and think it would be cool with a Focusrite iTrack solo and the iPad for the road.
I'm finding there's two types of road rigs. A) the "quick audition" rig. the "away from the studio for a few days I may need to work" rig
I classify the iPad or IPhone in the A category and. MacBook Air or similar notebook in the B category
Apogee Mic/iPad/iPhone - A category. AT 2100r usb for $30 and a camera connector to an iPad - A category
$30 AT 2100r = $199 Apogee Mic. As far as quality and portability. You can use the 2100r with a M as well as an iTrack since it does double duty with an Xlr connector. I've done a/b's and the At 2100r sounds similar to a Blue Yeti
Sennheiser 416 or small shotgun/M /iTrack solo/Apogee One for ipad/Air or Netbook/iPad.... A and B Categories (for the most part)
Having said all that, I don't like about the iPad for more involved work other than auditions or simple promos or gigs. it's clunky. If I have a lengthy narration on a iPad I can't proof with the text and audio
editing software on the same screen _________________ Lee Kanne

Obviously, I'm not George. But I did just buy one. So long as you remember that the little AT875R is not "self powered" and must have an external source for the 48 volts required. Which the M does. _________________ "I reserve the right to be completely wrong." |

Bill...
The basic answer is yes, but...
Not all Android devices are compatible. Only those that are capable of USB Host mode. If you're interested in learning more, there are a number of us here who can help you, including George, Todd, and myself. _________________ Don Brookshire

The key to everything in my previous post is an on-the-go cable. With that, you are good to go with whatever mic you want and the M . _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
