Seems to be going around. I've been all but out of commission since last Saturday. Nasty, whatever it is.
Hope you feel better soon, Deirdre! |

Those of you who are signed with Commerical Voices, do you think it's worth the extra $150 to sign up at the more advanced membership? I need to be so careful with my cashola right now since my computer died and I had to replace it. _________________ Joni Lambert

Joni,
I haven't been a member long enough to give you a detailed answer; but it seems to me that if you're concerned about being careful with your cash right now, maybe sign up at the $50 level this year, and renew at the higher level when/if they have an anniversary sale next year? _________________ Be well,

Joni....I'm sorry as well...I have not been a member long enough to give you a detailed answer. I figured I'd get in at the sale price. Rick certainly is a very nice guy and a straight shooter. He won't steer you wrong to get you to sign up at the higher priced membership. Talk to him about it and see what each one offers and what the benefits would be for each. _________________ TG2

Here's another potential outlet, not a VO clearinghouse per se. This fellow contacted me a while back and offered me a free listing. I accepted, although his webmaster is apparently behind on posting my info.
At any rate, I'm posting this here with his permission:
Quote: | Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to read this bulletin. The following might be a big interest for you.
Armadillo Studios has been collecting voice over talents over the past month, including David Houston, and Jeremy Parsons.
In October, Armadillo Studios will be posting 10 more voice over talents on www.armadillostudios.net. If you are interested in posting your demo reel, along with bio, and picture... please email your reel to the following email address...
bryanthomas@armadillostudios.net
I will be selecting 10 to post on the website. It is a free posting, and you can name your own pricing.
If you would like more info, please email all questions to the email address above.
Have a good one!
Best Wishes
Bryan Thomas

The idea of being "collected" like a Star Wars action figure is a little weird, I admit... _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

Maybe they should start making little voice actor action figures. Pull the string and they talk _________________ Joni Lambert

Sure-- but they'll get the guy in accounts receivable to do the sound for it because "He can do funny voicees, can't he?" _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Nice, but you know there'll be kids who'll pull the string, listen to the doll speak and then say, "That was good, but can you do it more like GI Joe with a Big Jim flare?" _________________ Greg Littlefield

Can you do it with a little more hair?
