My el cheapo, JK Audio That-1 phone patch crapped out on me about an hour before a session calling for listen-in direction.

Anyhoo, first I cussed. Then I kicked. Then I cussed some more. Then my wife, suggested I calm the hell down, as I would not solve the problem all pissed off. She's right ya know.

So, I settled down and thought about it. Then it hit me...not unlike a Subway Sandwich: I have a laptop. It has SKYPE. I got a mixer. It has holes in it in which you plug stuff in. I got the cable stuff in which you plug in the mixer. After about a ten minute cable orgy...Voila! I had a phone patch. And damn! If it doesn't sound better than the crappy That 1 when it was brand new.

Arrrrrr aye! 'Tis a great t'ing to have read 'bout'it and I blowed me hornpipe at thee fortune! Aye but for this beauty it was a tough time in the galleys today, havin' tried the earpiece to the landline to take direction from the Hobo Laughing and phone patch be damned. Arrrrrrrrrrrrr. Me lifts some grog smartly and soon y'know but it worked in a ravishin' way, this wench thinks it.

Fer what it be worth, many fortnite ago I found me self walkin the same plank...Arrrrrrg! Ever since then I make plenty o sail by using me cordless phone and pluggin in me vtech mic/headset and talkin into it the same time I talk into me studio recording mic. The landlubbers on the other end have no idea they be hornswaggled!
