A week ago I received a request to submit an audition to play a character in a TV commercial for a local bank. Since I haven't heard back, I'll assume I didn't get the part, although it's only been a week, so maybe they haven't made the decision yet.
However, this morning I got an e-mail from the same studio with a script, a request for two or three takes, and a note telling me how much the gig pays. No audition this time, just the job. Somehow, things do manage to work themselves out. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Same sort of thing has happened to me. Lose an audition, but then some ways down the road, get handed a completely different job on the strength of the other audition. Which just makes you think that when someone says that they liked you, but you weren't quite right for this job (or the client wasn't happy) and they'll keep in mind.... They're not always blowin' smoke.
Well done Lee. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Congratulations, Lee!

They obviously heard something in your audition that impressed them. You never know, maybe they wrote the new script with you in mind. _________________ Lisa |

I'm quite sure they did not write the script with me in mind. However, I did wish the studio owner a Happy Birthday on Facebook. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
