Had it been "Mmmmmmmyes, that's QUITE enough, dear one" it would've been my mother.

My mother calls everyone "dear one" as it means she doesn't have to bother remembering names.

Chronologically, yes; we are all adults. Mentally, no.

Amen to that brother! Long may it remain the case.

Edit - My response to Paddy's witticism not the comment above.

Legalize Adulthood!

This taken from Utah, where everything is either illegal, immoral, or fattening.

I believe on Philip's side of the pond, it would be labeled as mildly ribald, (not even to the extent of act 2 scene 1, Bullshot Crummond). After a few ensuing snickers, they would call it a day.

However, I must extoll in the word's of the great American poet of our time, Larry the Cable Guy, "That there's funny, I don't care who you are."

Perhaps I should just take comfort in the fact that there are those who pay me for my wit, which allows me to buy overpriced drinks for those who hang out at functions and pretend to be voice talent.

As for the Padington Bear outfit, it was itchy. For the record, I have nothing against Paddington Bear and I plan to have a double marmalade sandwich in his honor as soon as I am done posting.

Anything else should be directed to my agents or solicitors.

The other bear disappeared Philip, but I do so appreciate the sentiment.

I'm the first to admit I could use with some looking after.

I am feeling the slow, inexorable descent into "Carry On Voiceovering"

cue... a Sid James laugh followed by a Hattie Jacques look of horrified disapproval (as Barbara Windsor loses her top).
