A kind soul has taken it upon themselves to help me create a website. The problem is the whole site is not appearing on my computer, it does appear on my computer at work. I have tried both IE and Mozilla browsers to check it out to no avail. There is supposed to be a red banner that says Bud Been Voiceovers, does not display on my computer..can any of you see it, and how can I get it to appear on my computer..here's the link

Hi Bud,

I clicked on the link and your site loaded right up...red banner with your name and all...

HOWEVER...

The links for your demos were dead.

Sorry I can't tell you what is happening to cause your problems but maybe this tiny bit of input will help some.

Dave

Do you have Norton Internet Security installed? Chances are it is stripping the HTML for the web-site... as a "Security Feature"

Sorry BBean,

It worked for me as well. Nor problem other than those pointed out by Dave.

Looking good though. Guess I will have to speak with Mary about getting mine up and running... (hint, hint...)

Demos are not loaded up yet...take care of that when I get hosting and domain name. Guess not seeing my own web page is something I'll have to get over. Still could use some thoughts on my settings

The pages display fine using Firefox.

Make sure your browsers are set for viewing image files.

This tag on your home page:

<td><img src="banner.jpg" alt="Bud Banner" width="854" height="141"></td>

indicates your banner is a jpg file. Some client (computer) users turn off image viewing to increase the speed with which pages load. That was especially true when dial-up modems were used.

Your viewing problem is probably due to someone having turned off viewing images in each browser, both Netscape or I.E.

You site looks good. I may steal a line or two of script or code. Wink

Yes. Sorry to sound rude but get rid of Norton and try AVG free edition instead. It doesn't tax your system like Norton and is also continually updated...for free!

Not rude at all although this may be...I have always been taught you get what you pay for. Can this free version really be that good? If so great, just asking is all

I'd be the first to admit that free can have its price. I found out about it from Tech Tv years ago when Leo Laporte was doing a daily show...and they talked about technology and computers. It has saved me many times. The thing I like is that it doesn't take over my computer like other paid versions of anti-virus. I've installed it on countless computers of friends and family. I even got my sister to cancel her Nortons and use this...and she would hurt me if I screwed it up. <g>
