I did try to post this earlier but the link wouldn't co-operate ..........
So, here we go again. We live on a daily basis with over written scripts and cluttered visuals so these two TV ad's are delightfully simple. Do you know how many dealers BMW have in the UK? I DO!!!

The whole structure of the ads is simple and pleasant, both aurally and visually.
I liked 'em. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Banksey,

In which case my session took far too long and I was grossly over paid for it . Mind you most people claim paying me at all is crossing the line. Here's to more that are shorter in duration and heavier on the ££££s
By the way it's over 50 dealers. so that's 7 different TV ads. One version of all 7 with no dealers mentioned and then 7 versions for each dealership. The session took ........a while. |

Oh my, yes it would! And I agree the look and the sound of those commercials are very clean.
My highest paying session ever under similar circumstances. It was for a company marketing sport memorabilia for college football, branded to each specific school. Radio at AFTRA and TV at SAG rates. At the time I was just getting scale, plus 10% but by the time we finished all the tags, one for each major and mid-level college football program in the USA it amounted to quite a sum. Quite a considerable sum.
Alas, that was right before the last major strike and when they learned how much it would cost to do the next year's schedule under the interim rates, they dropped me for a non-union talent. _________________ Be well,

that's ALL you need - it always feels good to have copy that's to the point!
Man - if it were me, I'd have the car in 3D spinning around, with lots of music and text effects, and panning and stuff! LOL - just kidding. Perfect.

At least tell the dearship's phone number and web address.
The current interest rate they're offering would be good, too. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

357 spots?!! Wow. What a pain. All the way to the bank.
Nicely done.

B | By the end of the session I would've needed at least 12 guesses at my own name, as for the day of the week. HAH!
OVD rum and coke proved the great unwinder. |

The spot is a great reminder of how (unless well oceanically trained) UK VO's and US VO's will always have a tough time breaking into each others markets.
PB's read of innovative was in-uh-va-tive
A Yanks's read would have been inn-ooh-vaa-tive
Plus there's a different rhythm that I can't explain in writing.
Be clear, this is not to mock at all, in fact I think the pronunciation differences favor the UK voices and are MUCH more pleasing to my ear. And it doesn't hurt that PB has a "passable" voice quality
To say you did a nice job would be redundant if not obvious...but I am an American so...nice job. _________________ - Peter
